Can pregnant cows be dewormed?

In the vast majority of cases, it is safe to deworm pregnant cattle. Products on the market today have been extensively studied regarding safety on reproduction and their use. There are a few exceptions; an example is albendazole (Valbazen), which restricts use in cattle during the first 45 days of pregnancy. The bottom line is that the label for the product, as for any product administered to an animal, should be read, understood, and followed.
